Behold the DFZ

Thanks to the excellent suggestion of my friend Aaron Dragushan at  upgrademe.org, here is the clearly delineated clean zone on my desk.

Basic concept is nothing but what you are actively working on goes in the DFZ: the Distraction Free Zone. (that's my name for it, not Aaron's.  Send your mental groans my way.)

I took the liberty of allowing my keyboard to live in there as 99% of what I do involves that. Plus I can move it out of there if I need to.

i am a total neat freak, so i completely subscribe to the dfz. i can't work if my space is messy. let's see how long you can last keeping it distraction free. can't wait to hear if you are productive.

Awesome. My eye caught the fish tank on the left! What's in it? :) Salt water it seems?

Hey Ras. It is a 40 gallon salt water tank. Lots of corals and a few clownfish.

It is horribly dirty right now. I'll post a recent picture after I get it cleaned up soon.
