GMail is agonizingly slow!

For the past several days, maybe a few weeks, GMail has been incredibly slow for me.

Everything -- searching, switching labels, even sending a message take several seconds per operation.  This is making me question the wisdom in going with my gmail.com email account as my primary account.  I've tried some mass-deletion of bacn type posts, spam, etc. to no avail.

A few years ago I switched from using my jangro.com domain email address as my primary email address over to my gmail account as the primary email address that I use and give out.

Geek wisdom advises against that as it locks me into using Google services.  And it has proven to be a good move at times when new Google features, like Buzz, are available only to gmail.com account-holders.  But when Gmail becomes slow, or even unavailable, I'm stuck.

I also run jangro.com mail services through Google apps for domains, but I *could* move that elsewhere if the shit hits the fan.
Interestingly, the jangro.com gmail account is running at normal speed.  Maybe I'll route my gmail account email over there for the time being.
